Megan Reed Pet Services was built on a simple belief: caring for someone’s pet is about far more than completing a list of tasks. It’s about noticing the little things, understanding that every animal is different, respecting the home you’ve been invited into, and recognizing the trust it takes to place your pets in someone else’s care.We don’t take that trust lightly.
The business is newer. The experience behind it isn’t.
For founder Megan Reed, caring for animals started long before there was a business attached to her name. Growing up in Alaska, she spent much of her childhood surrounded by animals and gained hands-on experience through 4-H. That continued into adulthood through years of pet sitting, dog walking, and caring for animals on local farms. What began informally grew through repeat clients, referrals, and word of mouth. When Megan later stepped away from her professional career to care for her ill father, pet care became the foundation for what would eventually become Megan Reed Pet Services. Today, the company has grown into a carefully selected team built around those same standards of care and trust.

We respect the spaces we’ve been invited into, your privacy, your belongings, and the security of your home. Unapproved guests are never brought into a client’s home, and identifying details or travel information are never shared publicly.

Beyond that, we look for empathy, reliability, good judgment, thoughtful communication, and genuine care for both animals and the people who love them.

Kathy is a lifelong animal lover and a true dog lover at heart, though cats and other species have a pretty easy time winning her over, too. Having once shared her home with five pets at the same time, she’s no stranger to a full house. Now semi-retired, Kathy enjoys a flexible schedule that allows her to provide daytime, evening, and overnight care. When she isn’t spending time with your loved ones, she loves spontaneous mini getaways, traveling with her husband, and simply enjoying life. Warm and easygoing, Kathy is just as happy spending an afternoon outside on the patio as she is curled up on the couch, talking to your pet like they’ve been buddies for years. She has a way of feeling less like the pet sitter and more like your pet’s new bestie.

Mia | Pet Care Provider Mia is a human mom with plenty of love left over for the four-legged members of the family. After having a dog of her own, she found herself missing the special connection that comes with animals—the kind of bond that doesn’t need words to be understood. With a household that isn’t currently able to have pets of its own, pet care has given Mia a way to bring that connection back into her life. She especially loves building genuine relationships with the pets she cares for and becoming a familiar, trusted face they can look forward to seeing. Mia has a flexible schedule and is available for daytime, evening, and overnight care. Her approach is warm, attentive, and family-minded—she hopes to feel less like someone you’ve hired and more like an extended member of the family who’s there when you need her.
